How Can I Use Teleprompter.com with Zoom on macOS?

Looking to stay on script while maintaining natural eye contact during your Zoom meetings or presentations? With Teleprompter.com for macOS, you can easily read your script on-screen while participating in a video call—without anyone noticing you’re using a teleprompter.

Here’s how to make it work smoothly:

Step 1: Download and Set Up the App

Start by downloading the Teleprompter.com app for Mac:

👉 Download on the App Store

Once installed, open the app and create or import your scripts—you can write them directly in the app, paste text, or upload files using the import feature.

Step 2: Adjust Transparency

To have your script appear over Zoom without blocking your view, you’ll want to make the teleprompter window semi-transparent:

  1. In the app, go to Settings
  2. Navigate to Precision Settings > Window Settings
  3. Use the transparency slider to make the scrolling window see-through, allowing you to see the Zoom interface beneath it

Step 3: Start Your Zoom Call

Open Zoom and either start or join your meeting.

Once you’re in the call, return to Teleprompter.com and position the prompter window on your screen.

We recommend placing the teleprompter window near your Mac’s camera—usually centered at the top of your display—so you can read your script while still looking toward the lens, keeping your delivery natural and engaging.

You can drag and resize the teleprompter window freely to fit your preferred layout.

Pro Tip:

Before going live in an important meeting, take a few minutes to rehearse your setup. This helps you get familiar with the script pacing and window placement so everything flows smoothly during the real call.
